Post-Master’s PNP Certificate CurriculumA: The DUSON orthopedic nurse practitioner specialty is the only educational program of its kind at a University anywhere in the U.S. There are two or three postgraduate orthopedic fellowships for nurse practitioners; however, they only accept a small number of nurse practitioners for full-time employment/training. The UAB School of Nursing offers several post-graduate certificates for nurses who have already completed an MSN or DNP degree and subspecialty areas of coursework that may be completed as part of a graduate degree or as a non-degree post-graduate option by practicing nurse practitioners who have already completed their graduate degree.This track will ready you to serve in advanced practice leadership roles with infants, children, and adolescents with malignancies and hematological disorders while also preparing you to work with family members and in various settings, ranging from acute to community care.
